Pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (P.L.93-380) All Special Education records and 504 records for students that graduated or left Windham District on or before 2009 will be destroyed.
On Thursday, June 9, 2016, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Patricia Garcia, announced the appointment of three administrators to the Windham Public School district.

For many kids, summertime means food, friends and fun. For families who count on school meals , however, the summer months can be stressful and food budgets have to be stretched. Free summer meals, funded by the USDA, are available for ages 18 and younger.

Sawyer Baran, a grade 8 students at the Charles H. Barrows STEM academy, is one of only 40 students inventors in CT invited the Entrepreneurship Expo in Washington D.C.
Noah Caisse, Blake Boirie and Levi Sigfridson, kindergartners at the Charles H. Barrows STEM Academy, had their work published in the CT Student Writers Magazine.
The chess club at Windham High School recently competed in their first tournament at Ellis Tech and won the varsity division, JV tournament and Varsity tournament.
