The district's Transportation Office is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students attending Windham Public Schools. Free school bus transportation is provided to and from school for students living beyond a .5-mile walking distance from elementary schools, a 1-mile walking distance from the middle school, and a 1.5-miles walking distance from the high school. Exceptions will be made, and bus transportation provided, when roads within the walking zone are deemed unsafe for students to travel. The Windham School Board of Education Transportation Policy 3541 outlines eligibility. You are invited to view the transportation resource page for more information.

REMINDER FOR FAMILIES: Windham Board of Education policy (3541, A4) now requires students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to 2nd to be accompanied by an authorized person at the bus stop. If the authorized person is not at the bus stop to meet your child, they will be returned to school. Please inform your school in writing who that authorized person is if it is someone other than a parent. More information can be found on the letter to the right.
