Principal's Message

Dear Charles H. Barrows STEM Academy Community,

It is a true privilege to welcome you to another exciting year at Charles H. Barrows STEM Academy. As I begin my second year as your principal, I feel grateful to be part of such a dynamic and dedicated community of students, staff, and families. Together, we continue to make Barrows a place where curiosity is celebrated, character is cultivated, and achievement is possible for every learner.

At Barrows, our mission goes beyond academics. While our STEM focus fuels innovation and critical thinking, it is our shared values that guide the way we learn, work, and grow together. This year, we continue to place a strong emphasis on our 3 R’s pillars: Respect, Responsibility, and Reflection.

• Respect reminds us to value ourselves, one another, and our learning environment.

• Responsibility challenges us to take ownership of our choices, actions, and growth.

• Reflection encourages us to pause, consider, and learn from our experiences so that we can continue to improve.

These pillars are not just expectations for our students—they are commitments we all share as staff, families, and community partners. By modeling and reinforcing these values, we create a safe, joyful, and supportive environment where students develop both academically and personally.

As always, our STEM mission remains central. Through hands-on, inquiry-based learning, our students are encouraged to explore, innovate, and problem-solve. Yet, it is the combination of STEM learning with character development that truly prepares our students for success—both in school and beyond.

I look forward to another year of collaboration, growth, and celebration of all the ways our students shine. Thank you for your continued partnership and for trusting us with the education and character development of your children. Together, we will make the 2025–26 school year one filled with achievement, pride, and purpose.
