Dear parents, As you probably heard, Windham’s COVID data is very concerning. As a district, we currently have approximately 12% of our students in quarantine and isolation. As a safety prevention protocol, the district is eliminating all in-person gatherings starting tomorrow. In compliance with the district’s recommendations, we would not be hosting the Tuesday and Wednesday Meet-and- Greet event in person. I would still like to have an opportunity to meet with all of you so I am keeping the same dates/times for the meetings but instead of in-person, we are meeting via Zoom. I scheduled two meetings at 4:30 pm (one tomorrow Tuesday for grades K-2, and another on Wednesday for grades 3-5) and an additional meeting at 6 pm on Thursday for those parents that might have a schedule conflict or might prefer a later time (for all grades, K-5). Great news parents, the Book fair will be open today from Thursday 1230pm until 7pm and Friday 12:30pm until 4:30pm- please stop in before or after your Childs conference. We do need to minimize the amount of people at the book fair at a time so please be patient if asked to wait so we can maintain a safe number in the cafeteria, In addition please remember if you purchase a book or books for teachers you will be entered to win either a Verizon wireless gift basket or a Walmart gift card"

Dear Parents to minimize COVID transmissions only two people per conference will be allowed in the building at one time. However, if you have more than one child who attends North Windham, they may accompany parents to the conference. All parents will be required to sign-in all attendees. Hello NWS Families, we have received a notification that there was a motor vehicle accident on Route 203/6 that could affect the bus transportation of our students upon dismissal. This is for you to be aware of. Thanks.

Hello NWS families, this is a reminder this Friday November 19th we will have a Turkey Trot Day. Donate a canned food item to raise food for the Covenant Soup Kitchen. Students will walk or "trot" during gym class. Thank you for your participation.

Salvation Army has a food pantry M-W-F 9am to 12pm. Just show up to 316 Pleasant St, Willimantic CT, with an ID They are also giving coats away today from 11am to 2pm.

Dear Parents/Guardians This is a reminder to have you ID with you when you arrive for parent pick up. Even though most days our usual Parent Pick Up staff are there and do not require an ID, There may be times when there are other staff members on duty who may not be familiar with you or the person who is picking up your Child. At these times, it will be necessary to provide an ID before we can release your child to leave. Please contact us if you have any questions.
