School Culture and Climate

Windham Middle School, and all of Windham Public Schools, works to ensure a healthy and safe environment for learning system-wide that supports high engagement and cultural competency.

As students transition from Elementary to High School, it is important that they learn to become good citizens of the school and their community.  Students must also feel comfortable and confident, and learn to advocate for themselves in personal and classroom situations.

Social and emotional learning, balanced with academic growth, is critical for students at all grade levels.

At a community forum hosted for parents on April 9, 2019, Windham Middle School and district administrators outlined plans for initiatives to help enhance the climate at Windham Middle School. (See files below)
