EASTCONN's Arts at the Capitol Theater and Windham Public Schools Summer Musical Theater Program 2023
EASTCONN’s Arts at the Capitol Theater (ACT) and Windham Public Schools are hosting a FREE Summer Musical Theatre Program for northeastern Connecticut students entering grades 5-12.
The program will take place at Arts at the Capitol Theater (ACT) located at 896 Main Street in Willimantic CT. Program hours are 9:00 am-3:30 pm, Monday-Friday, from July 10th- August 11th with performances on Friday, August 11th and Saturday, August 12th.
Participating students will work collaboratively to put on a musical theatre production, developing their acting, singing and dancing skills under the supervision of experienced directors. They’ll also create props, work on the set design, and learn about lighting and sound technology.
Students will also develop marketing materials for the show and wherever possible, program staff will integrate academic skills into the daily instruction.
