Finalist for Elementary School of the Year

We are excited to share that Natchaug Elementary School has been named as a finalist for the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) Elementary School of the Year!

Acting Principal Jeannine Enamait is working with CAS to schedule a site visit, which will allow Natchaug students, staff and families, as well as district leadership, to share their feelings about Natchaug School.  The school identified as the Elementary School of the Year will be invited to share exemplary practices and programs with other schools across the state through CAS workshops and publications, as well as through hosting visitors.  Ms. Enamait recently shared her feelings, stating “We have a wonderful community of students, staff, parents, and community partners that make Natchaug School a culturally rich and engaging learning environment!”

Superintendent Tracy Youngberg wrote, in part, “Having Natchaug School named a finalist by CAS is an incredible accomplishment. There is a palpable, positive energy that can be felt when you visit Natchaug School. I am certain that the CAS Committee will be impressed by their school climate, student-centered focus, energetic leadership and community connections.”

Congratulations to the Natchaug students, staff, families and community partners!   Please help us to get the word out there about the wonderful things that are happening within Windham Public Schools!
